Silhouettes - cheating or style choice?

I like the block effect they give - you can see the mass and proportion of each character quite clearly. It promotes personality through profiles.

Of course it also means I don’t have to draw all the details, so it does sort of feel like cheating. But then that’s why I try to use it sparingly.

JUSTIFICATION ACHIEVED

An idea I had for a shirt. Maybe with some text off the side or above his head. Suggestions? Thoughts?
